And yet, that\u2019s precisely what is happening. A recent story from <em>The Wall Street Journal<\/em> says that Farley jumped behind the wheel, with Lawler in the passenger seat. This smaller vehicle has been designed to compete with compelling alternatives out of China and will be profitable for the brand. While work on this new model is ongoing, the Blue Oval has scaled back some of its EV ambitions.<\/p>\n<p>In the third week of July, it said <a href=\"https:\/\/www.carscoops.com\/2024\/07\/ford-walks-back-all-ev-promise-for-europe-by-2030-due-to-wavering-demand\/\">plans to go all-electric in Europe by 2030<\/a> were no longer feasible, and it will continue to sell pure ICE, hybrids, and BEVs in the market. Come August, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.carscoops.com\/2024\/08\/flip-flopping-ford-delays-electric-truck-and-axes-three-row-ev-plans-will-build-hybrids-instead\/\">Ford axed plans for a three-row electric SUV<\/a> that was supposed to enter production in 2025.
