Not so clear from these pictures, but seen previously in official images, is the way the bodywork twists between the front and rear wheels, giving a pinched-waist effect and making the Raval look far more dynamic than the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.carscoops.com\/tag\/vw-id-2\/\">ID.2<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>        <a href=\"https:\/\/www.carscoops.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/Cupra-Raval-5.jpg\" data-type=\"inarticle-image-block\"> <\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\">\n<p>                    <img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"lazy \" src=\"\" alt=\" Cupra Raval Is VW\u2019s Answer To The Mini Cooper E\" width=\"2200\" height=\"1466\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.carscoops.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/Cupra-Raval-5-1024x682.jpg\" data-type=\"inarticle-image\" \/><\/p>\n<\/figure>\n<p>        <\/a>  <\/p>\n<p>Unlike current MEB-based <a href=\"https:\/\/www.carscoops.com\/tag\/vw\/\">VW<\/a> products like the ID.3 and ID.4 whose single-motor variants place their powertrain at the back, the MEB Short cars have a more traditional front-engine, front-wheel drive layout. Cupra talks about a base model having the same 223 hp (166 kW \/ 226 PS) as VW\u2019s ID.2 concept and being able to rip to 62 mph (100 km\/h) in 6.9 seconds.
